The Studio Albums: 1967-1968 covers the first three studio albums -- First, Horizontal and Idea. Far from being a mere re-packaging of these three albums, this box contains mono and stereo versions of all three albums, alternate takes of quite a few songs, the infamous Coke commercials and previously unreleased material, some of which has been circulating for years as bootlegs among the fan community and others available possibly for the first time. The extensive liner notes provide an excellent chronicle of The Bee Gees' early years.
My personal favorite has always been Mr. Wallor's Wailing Wall, so it is refreshing to see this finally available as an official release.
